(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Georgios Katrougalos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the bilateral relations between the UAE and Greece, and the means of strengthening their overall cooperation, especially in political, economic, trade and social fields, with the aim of benefitting their peoples.
They also discussed the latest regional updates and international causes of common interest.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of Katrougalos and expressed his desire to strengthen the cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.
Katrougalos stated that Greece and the UAE are connected by developed relations while expressing his country’s keenness to enhance their joint cooperation, and noting the UAE’s leading regional and international stature, as well as its overall achievements.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Katrougalos signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to mutually recognise the driving licences of the two countries, and a second MoU that aims to promote cooperation in agricultural research programmes and technology.
