(Manama) – The Youth Committee at the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has organised a lecture moderated by the Founder and President of the Social Media Club Bahrain, Ali Sabkar, in the presence the SCW’s personnel and the committee members.
Sabkar called on women in Bahrain to take full advantage of social media networks to highlight Bahraini women’s achievements, consolidate their presence and participation, and raise women’s issues.
He said that social media network provide unprecedented opportunities to Bahraini women, whether they are students, employees or entrepreneurs, or others, regarding education, training, knowledge development, communication, skills development and even job opportunities, which, he added, will have good impacts on them, their families, business and community.
He highlighted the importance of the huge opportunities provided by social media for individuals and institutions in measuring their performance and being informed about the efficiency of the efforts exerted by those in charge of those networks, which, he said, would enable them to constantly assess and develop their performance.
Sankar expressed the Social Media Club’s readiness to cooperate with the SCW, within the “Social Media Clinic” programme to provide training and rehabilitation for Bahraini women in this field.
