(Dubai) – Nineteen new judges at the Dubai Courts were sworn-in before Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, at the Zabeel Palace.
The judges took oath before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and vowed to uphold justice, respect the law, perform their duties with integrity and devotion, and remain committed to honest practices as judges.
The Ruler of Dubai gave directives to the new judges to abide by the values of impartiality and integrity, work under the cloak of the law and of the legal profession, away from any bias, and grant everyone their rights.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed stressed that the UAE is a state of law for all, and no one is above the law, all are equal in front of the law, and there can be no difference between an Arab or a foreigner, rich or poor.
He also ordered the Director-General of Dubai Courts and concerned officials and judges to expedite the completion of cases and facilitate these without delay, avoid the red tape and bureaucracy that could harm the interests of the people and their rights, and could kill the spirit of creativity of court employees or judges without any justification.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed wished the new judges in the Court of Appeal and Courts of First Instance success in their assignment and mission to fulfil and ensure justice to litigants.
