(Rome) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has headed the UAE delegation to the 2nd International Ministerial Conference on International Support to Libya, which kicked off in the Italian capital, Rome. The event was attended by 25 states, including member states of the Security Council.
The conference, which is also attended by five regional and international organisations, assessed the achievements of the Libyan authorities regarding the resolutions issued at the Paris Conference, held on 12th February.
The participants also discussed the political and security situation in Libya so as to mobilise international support to the country at this critical moment to help it build a modern sovereign state based on respect to the rule of law and human rights.
