(Manama) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed values of voluntary work promoted by the GCC countries, including mainly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which, he said, is playing a major role to ensure regional security and stability and ward off tensions impeding development.
HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace, Honorary President of the Good Word Society Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa who introduced to him winners of Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work.
HRH the Prime Minister stressed that the Arab nation is rich in voluntary work lovers who are motivated by the Islamic precepts and the authentic Arab values. He praised the role of Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work in bringing under the spotlight those who dedicated their time and efforts to make other people happy in the Arab communities. He affirmed that there are many competent people in the Arab countries who wrote stories of success in various political, economic and development fields. He urged to make voluntary work a booster of Arab cooperation so as to reach the aspired Arab integration.
HRH the Premier underscored the government’s support to voluntary work by providing the needed assistance and resources to boost national welfare. He pointed out the government’s trends and strategy to achieve development, welfare and social security by adopting policies and legislation to fast-track development through community partnership with the public and private sectors.
HRH the Prime Minister lauded the initiatives of Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and their good echo locally and regionally, affirming that Shaikh Isa bin Ali has become a model to emulate in highlighting values of dedication for citizens’ best interests.
Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa thanked HRH the Premier for his continuous support to voluntary and humanitarian work in Bahrain, describing his directives as a beacon of light for all. He pointed out the importance of voluntary work, describing it as a civilizational feature, one of the tributaries of human development and a creative energy to achieve social solidarity.
