Camp David Summit concludes

(Camp David)- The Camp David summit, which gathered the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States’ (GCC) leaders with the US President Barrack Obama, concluded at the presidential retreat at the Camp David, Maryland.
The summit was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Obama said at the conclusion of the summit that the talks were transparent and fruitful, adding that they tackled the Iranian nuclear programme, Syrian crisis, situation in Yemen and counter-terrorism.
“The United States will stand by our GCC partners against external attack and will deepen and extend cooperation that we have,” Obama told reporters, with Gulf leaders standing by his side at the end of the talks.
On his part, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, said on behalf of the GCC leaders that all the GCC states welcomed the nuclear deal framework between 5+1 with Iran, hoping that it would be a main factor for stability, adding that “the Camp David summit was fruitful and transparent. We discussed noninterference of non-Arab countries in the Arab affairs”. He added that President Obama has accepted the invitation of the GCC leaders to attend new summit next year.
