FNC discusses cooperation with Australian Parliament

(Abu Dhabi) – First Deputy Speaker of FNC elected. Marwan Ahmad bin Galita, has received a delegation from the Australian Senate House of Representatives led by Teresa Gambaro, Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade at the Parliament of Australia.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways of promoting partnership and cooperation between the two legislative bodies.
The first deputy speaker of the FNC stressed that bilateral political, economic, tourism and educational relations between the two countries and their peoples are strong and excellent.
For their part, members of the Australian parliamentary delegation outlined the roles of the parliament and its committees.
They also congratulated Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, for being elected as speaker of Federal National Council and becoming the first Arab female leader of a legislative assembly.
Ambassador of Australia to the UAE, Pablo Kang, members of the FNC attended the meeting.
