(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, patronised the inauguration ceremony of the Special Battalion 83 Camp.

Upon arrival at the battalion’s camp, HM the King was welcomed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma, Royal Guard Commander, Brigadier-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Special Battalion 83 Commander.

HM King Hamad unveiled the commemorative plaque to mark the opening of the camp and raise the flag of Battalion 83 which will join other BDF units in assuming their sacred patriotic duty of defending the nation and protecting its civilised march.

The Supreme Commander was then informed about the shooting fields.

HM the King wrote a statement in the VIP logbook in which he expressed delight in the inauguration of the Special Battalion 83 Camp and raising its flag.

HM King Hamad paid tribute to the BDF servicemen, stressing that they will remain the bulwark that defends the nation, safeguards its achievements and strengthens the pillars of its security and security to ensure the continuity of the progress and prosperity march.

HM the King also lauded with pride the missions carried out by Bahrain’s armed forces to the fullest to reinforce peace and security in the region, wishing success for everyone.

HM the King stressed resolve to carry on equipping the BDF with the latest and cutting-edge military systems and boost the capabilities of its staff in various fields of knowledge and modern sciences in recognitions of their high competence and outstanding professionalism.
