HM King patronises National Action Charter celebrations

(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa patronized part of the major national celebrations organized by the Education Ministry on the University of Bahrain (UoB) campus to mark the 16th anniversary of the National Action Charter.

HM the King was welcomed upon arrival at UoB by Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, senior officials from the Education Ministry and UoB staff. HM the King was welcomed amid cheers of the students taking part in the celebrations and who came from different public and private schools and universities.

HM the King expressed thanks and respect to the participants in the celebratiosn and other functions which were organized marking the national occasion. He lauded the festivities which, he said, reflect patriotism, commending the efforts made by the educational institutions to shape the culture of belonging, promote values of tolerance and moderation and consolidate the concept of citizenship.

The celebrations featured many functions, including an operetta, a folkloric musical show, three songs and various sport activities.

The Education Minister extended thanks and gratitude to HM the King for patronizing the celebration, stressing the great support and care given by HM King Hamad to the educational sector in Bahrain. He pointed out the achievements brought about in the prosperous era of HM the King, which are highlighted in many international reports and statistics, reiterating the Education Ministry’s resolve to go ahead with its efforts to further optimize the educational services thanks to the support of the leadership.
