Kuwaiti FM meets UN Special Envoy for Yemen

(Kuwait) – Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council has reiterated support for the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmad, to bringing success to peace talks to restore security and stability in Yemen.
This came during a meeting between Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani , GCC Secretary-General, with the UN Special Envoy.
The Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, quoted a statement from the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry as re-affirming efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen “to bringing success to Yemen peace talks hosted by the State of Kuwait to restore security and stability to Yemen, as well as stopping the bloodshed of the Yemeni people.”
