Nicolas Maduro has been sworn in as the new president of Venezuela, after closely-fought presidential elections.
The election result has underlined deep divisions in the country, with supporters of opposition leader Henrique Capriles demanding a full recount of poll. Venezuela’s electoral authority has announced that it will carry out a full audit of electronic votes cast.
