(Manama) – Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and in the presence of Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Board of Trustees Chairman of Nasser Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a graduation ceremony was held for the centre’s first batch of 131 students.

Shaikh Nasser paid tribute to HM the King for his interest and support to contemporary education by providing all means to upgrade education and tap on the potentials of the Bahraini people. He extended thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his keenness to provide the Bahraini people with all kinds of services and for his directives to set up Nasser Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre which came as part of the great royal reform project spearheaded by HM the King.

Shaikh Nasser also commended the government’s support under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa as well as the unflinching support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He congratulated the graduates and their parents on the success they have achieved, praising cooperation of the Education Ministry in teaching the institution’s affiliates through community partnership. He called on the students to continue working hard to achieve further success and contribute to growth and prosperity of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

After a short documentary about the centre, Shaikh Nasser honoured the outstanding students.

Secretary General of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Dr. Mutafa Sayed expressed heartfelt congratulations to HM the King and Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad on success of the project and the graduation of the first batch of students, stressing the great support enjoyed by RCO and Nasser Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre from the government, led by HRH the Premier, and from HRH the Crown Prince. He also thanked the Education Minister for the ministry’s role in the project’s success and the Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa for his tremendous support.

The RCO Secretary General thanked the UAE for the great support to the project. He also thanked the UAE Education Minister Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi for believing in the project and its success and for their technical support to it.

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi commended the royal patronage of the celebration, welcoming Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He expressed gratitude to the UAE for supporting the vital project to become a symbol of fruitful cooperation that embodies deep-rooted fraternal relations between both countries. He described the centre as an added value to the efforts made to develop technical education in Bahrain and boost its attractiveness.

The UAE Education Minister Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi said the establishment of the centre is an embodiment of strong historic ties binding both countries and peoples. He described the centre as a scientific edifice and one of the key strategic projects. He pointed out that the centre was equipped to parallel the UAE pioneering experience represented by Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI)’s Secondary Technical School. He added that the educational edifice (Nasser Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Centre) mirrors utmost keenness of Bahrain leadership to rehabilitate and train Bahraini youngsters vocationally to meet the needs of economic growth and the labour market’s demand for trained and well-qualified competencies. He noted that the centre enjoys direct support from Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and President of Abu Dhabi Executive Council Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who directed to remove all obstacles to transfer the UAE experience to the brethren in Bahrain according to high international standards.

Al Hammadi pointed out the continuous care and unrelenting follow-up of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa since the opening of the centre on December 29, 2014 so as to achieve the aspirations of the Bahraini youth and press ahead with development in Bahrain.
