Policing and Security Conference held

(Abu Dhabi) – The events of the Policing and Security Conference concluded with the participants praising the great achievements of the UAE’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) in fostering the security and stability of the nation. The participants additionally lauded the MoI’s ability to enforce justice and to fight crimes related to smuggling, forgery, human trafficking, and most notably, cybercrime. The Ministry’s firm methods for addressing these crimes were also acknowledged and admired.
The Policing and Security Conference at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), was held under the slogan ‘Global Challenges and Local Solutions’ and under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The events were organised by Rabdan Academy, the Ministry of Interior, and Australian Charles Sturt University.
The sessions of the conference addressed various topics including: activating the role of security and police forces, security and public safety, future police leadership, the role of research in security and police work, education, research and development, innovation in policing, cybercrimes, and security and readiness in the virtual world.
During the conference, participants were able to review a myriad of international experiences in the fields of security and in emergency and crises response. They studied the leading position of the Ministry of Interior and the distinguished experience of the UAE in their ability to immediately respond to crime. The achievements of the UAE were highlighted throughout the conference, showcasing how the UAE has successfully attained such a leading position through the ability to maintain the security and stability of the nation amidst a prosperous environment and advanced economy in accordance with the best international standards.
