(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai received the visiting Turkish President Abdullah Gul at Zabeel Palace.
The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, H.E. Mohammed Abdullah, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, H.E. Sultan bin Saeed, Minister of Economy, and a number of senior officials as well as UAE Ambassador to Turkey H.E. Khaled Khalifa and Turkish Ambassador to UAE Vural Altay.
Both the leaders held talks over ways of expanding horizons of the strong relations to cover all sectors.
Sheikh Mohammed hoped Gul’s visit to the UAE would strengthen bilateral relations. For his part, the Turkish President expressed delight at visiting the UAE and also marveled at the civilizational and humanitarian progress made by the UAE. He hoped that channels of communication between the two countries would broaden in future.
Later, Sheikh Mohammed hosted a luncheon in honor of the Turkish President and his accompanying delegation which was attended by a number of Sheikhs, ministers, and Turkish businessmen escorting President Gul.
