Sharjah Ruler lauds ‘1971 Initiative’

 

(Dubai) – H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, hailed the online heritage competition ‘1971 Initiative’ was announced in February by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to stimulate interest and educate citizens and residents about the UAE’s history.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan made his remarks as he visited the stand of the ‘1971 Initiative’ at the Sharjah International Book Fair where he viewed the initiative’s publications.
The competition will take place each year for the next three years, making the total number of questions asked 1,971, which ties in with the formation of the Federation.
