(Manama) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister is heading UAE delegation to the 125th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States’ Ministerial Council, which commenced in the Bahraini Capital Manama, under the chairmanship of Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
Sheikh Khalid opened the session, thanking the efforts exerted by Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Saud Al Faisal during his presidency and also thanked the GCC Foreign Ministers for their great efforts to bolster the joint GCC work. The Ministerial Council meeting discussed the political, economic, social, environment, education and health issues. It also reviewed the strategic talks between the GCC and a number of countries.
The meeting tackled the strategic partnership file with the kingdoms of Morocco and Jordan, as well as the development on the issue of three UAE Islands occupied by Iran, Syrian standoff, Yemen situation, the latest developments in both Palestine and Iraq.
