(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, and Haider al-Abadi, Prime Minister of Iraq, in a phone conversation, have discussed the bilateral relations between the U.A.E. and Iraq and ways of enhancing and promoting them in the service of the interests of the two countries and their fraternal peoples.
Their phone conversation touched upon the developments in Iraq and the circumstances and big security and terrorist threats targeting the country’s security, stability and integrity.
H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zaeyd reiterated to the Iraqi prime minister that the U.A.E., under President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan backs the efforts of the Iraqi government, and the other national efforts to fulfill the fraternal Iraqi people’s aspirations for a better future where all Iraqis enjoy well-being and security in a cohesive, united, unified and stable Iraq.
The two sides also discussed a number of issues of concern for their countries and the latest regional developments.
