(Geneva) – H.E. Sheikha Lubna, Minister of Foreign Trade, held talks with Pascal Lamy, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) over the second review of the trade policies and practices of the UAE.
The UAE and WTO affirmed the review provides a fitting opportunity to explain these policies meticulously. Pascal Lamy noted the growing interest of WTO member states to know more about the UAE trade policies as they consider UAE as a key strategic trading partner in the Middle East.
Hailing the efforts of UAE government he said, “UAE had succeeded to establish itself as a vibrant hub and facilitator for world trade building on its state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern land, sea and air transport network and strategic geographic location”.
