(Manama) – Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Member of Parliament Khalifa Al Ghanim and reviewed topics related to the electricity and water services offered to citizens by the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).
The minister praised Al Ghanem’s efforts to discuss issues of interest to citizens and co-operation between the executive and the legislature to achieve their aspirations and improve the quality and efficiency of services.
The minister briefed the MP on the plans and programmes of the EWA and ways to improve the quality of services provided. The MP was also briefed on the latest developments after the setting up of the Sustainable Energy Unit that focusses on encouraging investment in renewable energy in increasing energy efficiency.
The MP hailed the minister’s efforts in improving the quality of services and reduce outages during the summer. He said such meetings were important ways of communicating between the executive and the legislature.
