UAE leaders open IDEX 2015

(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, inaugurated the 12th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (Idex 2015).
The event was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Crown Princes, Sheikhs and state guests, President Omar Hassan Ahmad Al Bashir of the Republic of Sudan and heads of delegations of brotherly and friendly countries.
The opening ceremony featured a display from the National Guard of Belarus and a traditional military performance from South Korea. A grand spectacle featuring a fictitious plot of friendly forces combatting terrorists concluded the opening ceremony.
Following the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid toured various Idex pavilions featuring more than 1,000 exhibitors, displaying the latest military equipment and various land, air and sea defence systems.
The opening was attended by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior,. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister,. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, along with a number of sheikhs and senior officials.
