(Abu Dhabi) – A preparatory meeting for the second meeting of UAE-Vietnam Joint Ministerial Committee was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the co-chairmanship of Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Haidan, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisations Affairs, and Tran Quang Huy, Director of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade’s African, West and South Asian Markets Department.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, will lead the UAE team to the meeting while Vu Huy Hoang, Vietnamese Minister of Trade and Industry, will chair his country’s delegation. In his welcome address, Al Haidan highlighted vibrancy in the strong distinguished bilateral ties, saying the meeting comes in line with instructions of the higher leaderships in both countries to enhance ties for serving mutual interests.
He expressed the hope that meeting of the joint ministerial committee would open up new avenues for joint cooperation that will bolster bilateral ties between the two friendly countries in all fields. For his part, Mr. Huy thanked that UAE for the warm hospitality and reception. He said UAE and Vietnam maintain viable bilateral ties, especially in trade and investment.
