(Dubai) – The Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2015) has concluded on a high note, with a strong response from relevant sectors, organisations and visitors.
Meanwhile, Green Week will continue until 27 April at Mirdif City Centre, Deira City Centre, and Mall of the Emirates.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) remarked that the exhibition has established itself on the map of global specialist exhibitions.
“Over three days, WETEX succeeded in supporting sustainability in line with the Green Economy for Sustainable Development initiative of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the UAE Vision 2021, which focuses on sustainability. Diversification of the energy mix is part of the UAE’s priorities to become a leading hub for renewable energy and green development,” said Al Tayer.
Titanium, Strategic, Platinum, and Gold Sponsors expressed their satisfaction with this year’s WETEX, which was visited by government officials, delegations, and specialists in energy, environment, water, electricity, and sustainable development.
“WETEX is a leading and unique platform that attracts key players from trade and economic sectors working in the water, energy, and environment domains. The exhibition targets business and society, who are also the targeted audience of DEWA’s campaigns, to raise awareness about conserving natural resources and supporting sustainability to reduce energy demand to achieve the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030,” added Al Tayer.
